First TV Promo Demo of the Year 2022
I did my first TV Promo Demo of this year and it's not an easy thing to do. It took time, talent, and resources.
You maybe are wondering how I did my demo?
Of course, I woke up, thank God for this day, and do my devotion. Then brush my teeth eat breakfast. Definitely, I allotted time for making my demo. You really wanna know how?
If you are an aspiring voice artist you need to take note of this.
Every Voice Artist need to produce a demo.
It will show your voice capability to potential clients. It will help them determine what type of voice you have and what can you offer for their service or product. Because as VA I/you represent them with the God-given gift of voice that you and I have.
You have two options. It's either you hire a voice artist director or make your own.
In my case, I make my own demo because I just don't have the resources yet to hire a professional voice artist director. It's EXPENSIVE.
You might be itching about how I did my First TV Promo Demo Haha!
So here it is,
First, I allotted time for research.
That's the first thing to do. RESEARCH. Search for the TV show that I'm interested in because that plays a vital role in recording a demo.
The second is writing. Yes, you read it right. A voice artist must also be able to write a script. A VA doesn't just do mere voicing. That is a basic requirement for a voice artist, to write and read.
Next is, RECORDING. After thoroughly proofreading the script now I am ready to record. Prepared me as I am the source of what is going to be recorded. Launch the DAW and set the equipment.
After all of that, only here will the true work is going to be. EDITING. This is the most crucial work as it may define the output. Clean all the noise, compress, EQ, limiter, normalize, and master.
The last step is to publish the work I did. Post it on social media, make a blog, and upload it on VA sites.
